Hall Davis, IV became the NFD & MA's 61st National
President at the 70th Annual Convention in
Philadelphia, PA in 2007. |

|
He
was elected as Corporate Secretary at the National Convention in Baltimore, MD, in 2004.
He currently serves as President of the
Association. Hall is known throughout the country as a licensed funeral director and embalmer. He is President of Hall Davis & Sons Funeral Service, LTD, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. |

Mr. Davis is a second-generation embalmer and funeral director. His parents Hall III and Elsie Harrington Davis founded the mortuary some fifty years ago, and it is now ranked as the largest African American privately owned funeral business. He is a native of Port Allen, Louisiana and resides in
Bueche, Louisiana. |
|
|
|
He attended Southern University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and Knoxville College, Knoxville, Tennessee. In 1975, he graduated from Commonwealth College of Mortuary Science with honors. |
|
|
Locally he is actively involved in numerous organizations. He is the Founder of Hall's We Care Kids, and
S.A.V. (Sharing a Vision), community service program that address the needs of at-risk youth, and is actively involved as a mentor at Cohn Elementary in Port Allen. In recognition of his many acts of kindness, he was awarded the "Where Service Matters" humanitarian award sponsored by Hibernia Bank in partnership with Volunteer Baton Rouge. |

Some of the professional organization affiliations include 100 Black Men of Metro Baton Rouge; Baton Rouge Funeral Directors -Past President (1987-1994); Louisiana State Funeral Directors and Embalmers Association-Past President (1994-2000); Baton Rouge Chamber of Commerce; West Baton Rouge Chamber of Commerce; Greater Baton Rouge Port Commission; West Baton Rouge Development Corporation, and the United Way Board of Directors. |

He is married to Cecile Clayton Davis, and is the father of four: Erica,
office manager of the Mortuary, Pamela, a physician, Felicia, a local attorney, and Hall V, a
college freshman. |
