Departed this life June 26th, 2025. Mrs. Maxine T. Jenkins, age 85, of Richmond. As a retired educator, she began her teaching career in South Hill, Virginia. After returning to Richmond, she taught at Maggie Walker High School, Armstrong High School and then Huguenot High School. Along with her husband, Mrs. Jenkins was the owner of Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home.
She is preceded in death by her husband Joseph Jenkins Jr. She is survived by her sons Joseph Jenkins, III (Charmagyne) and Jason K. Jenkins (Latisha); three granddaughters Sydney, Maya and Maisen Jenkins; one brother Alvin C. Turner, Jr. (Valeria); a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; sisters-in-law Barbara McPhail and Caroline Arrington; and other relatives and friends.
