The National Funeral Directors & Morticians Association, Inc. announces the transition of Mrs. Rosetta Williams, Mother of Association Member, Glancy T. Dyer.

The National Funeral Directors & Morticians Association, Inc. sincerely sympathizes with the Williams & Dyer Family. May God continue to watch over you all. We give you this one thought to keep, "Although it's difficult today to see beyond sorrow, may looking back in memory help comfort you tomorrow."

On February 15, 1951, in Tangipahoa Parish, Louisiana, God blessed George and Beatrice Brumfield with a beautiful daughter, Rosetta Williams. She grew up surrounded by love, laughter, and the warmth of family alongside her two brothers and two sisters.

Rosetta’s early education began at D.W. Dillon High School. Though she originally pursued nursing, she later discovered her passion in the field of dietary services, where she found her calling as a Dietary Aide at Woman’s Hospital. Her dedication and care left an unforgettable mark on all who worked with her and those she served.

Rosetta was a woman full of love, strength, and generosity. Her greatest joy came from being with family and friends, sharing stories, laughter, and above all her unforgettable home-cooked meals. A true Southern soul, she poured her Mississippi roots into every dish she made, cooking from scratch with a heart full of love. To sit at Rosetta’s table was to experience comfort, joy, and the warmth of her spirit.

Her radiant smile, nurturing nature, and giving heart touched the lives of so many. She was more than a mother, sister, and friend to everyone she met, and she was a guiding light whose presence will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

Rosetta leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion. She is survived by her beloved children: three sons, Troy Williams, Tony (Yolanda) Williams, Glancy (Ashley) Dyer; one daughter, Diana (Charles) Williams; two sisters, Jackio (Jim) Johnson and Doris Brumfield; and two brothers, Ronald Brumfield and James (Jacqueline) Brumfield. She also leaves to cherish her memory fifteen grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, three godchildren: Sheila, Hamilton, Demetrious Smith, and Sandra Barton and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

For 74 blessed years, God allowed Rosetta to be a gift to her family and community. Now, Heaven rejoices as she takes her eternal rest. We will forever hold dear the precious memories she leaves behind and carry her love within our hearts.
