Christie K. Redmon Moore, CFSP, is an accomplished funeral service professional, entrepreneur, educator, speaker, and community leader whose career has been built around service, innovation, education, and legacy.

Moore is the CEO and Owner of Mansfield Funeral Home & Cremations, a growing funeral service organization serving families throughout North Texas and beyond. Her funeral service footprint includes operations in Mansfield and Frisco, Texas, with continued expansion underway to broaden the organization’s reach throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. She is also the owner of Cremation Specialists of North Texas, further extending her commitment to providing families with dignified, transparent, and professionally managed cremation care.

Her entrepreneurial journey has included several historic milestones. Moore became the first woman and first person of color to own a funeral home in Mansfield, Texas, and later achieved the same distinction in Frisco, Texas. She also became the first woman to build an on-site crematory in Tarrant County, creating a model of care that gives families greater continuity, accountability, and transparency throughout the cremation process.

Under her leadership, Mansfield Funeral Home & Cremations has developed into a highly regarded funeral service brand, earning hundreds of five-star reviews and recognition throughout North Texas. The organization serves families locally, statewide, nationally, and internationally while maintaining a strong focus on personalized service, thoughtful remembrance, transparency, and attention to the details that matter most when a family experiences loss.

In 2026, Moore and her team celebrated 10 years of Mansfield Funeral Home & Cremations, marking a decade of growth from a vision for funeral service into an expanding organization with multiple locations, an on-site crematory, a growing professional team, and an increasingly significant community presence.

Moore’s professional foundation is distinguished by an uncommon combination of science and funeral service education.

She earned a Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology from Hampton University and continued her graduate education at Tennessee State University, earning a Master of Science in Endocrinology, with academic training connected to Meharry Medical College.

She later pursued her professional funeral service education at the Dallas Institute of Funeral Service, preparing for her career and licensure in funeral directing and embalming.

Her relationship with funeral service education eventually came full circle when she returned to the Dallas Institute of Funeral Service as an instructor, helping educate future funeral service professionals in subjects including Chemistry, Arts, and Embalming.

Moore has earned the prestigious designation of Certified Funeral Service Practitioner (CFSP), reflecting her continued commitment to professional development, education, and service within the profession. She has also been awarded an Honorary Doctorate in Thanatology and Humanitarian Studies from Harvest Christian University in recognition of her contributions to funeral service, grief education, humanitarian efforts, and community leadership.

Moore’s commitment to funeral service extends well beyond the businesses she owns.

In addition to serving as National Treasurer of NFDMA, she serves as President-Elect of the Independent Funeral Directors Association of Texas, positioning her among the professionals helping shape the future of independent funeral service at both the state and national levels.

She is passionate about strengthening independently owned funeral homes, developing emerging funeral service professionals, encouraging ownership, and helping the profession maintain the trust of the communities it has been called to serve.

Her leadership philosophy is rooted in a simple belief: funeral service is more than a business. It is a responsibility.

An educator at heart, Moore is a sought-after speaker and facilitator whose work reaches both funeral service and broader professional audiences.

She speaks and teaches on topics including funeral service, grief and bereavement, preplanning, legacy planning, entrepreneurship, leadership, organizational culture, customer service, resiliency, communication, change management, multigenerational leadership, mentorship, business ownership, and community impact.

Her professional training work has also included corporate audiences, where she has facilitated conversations around collaboration, communication, customer experience, leadership, motivation, resiliency, navigating change, and building stronger organizational cultures.

Moore is particularly passionate about helping funeral professionals understand that compassion and sound business practices are not competing priorities. Strong organizations create the stability necessary to continue serving families, employing people, developing future leaders, and investing in communities.

Moore’s work has gained recognition beyond the funeral service profession.

Mansfield Funeral Home & Cremations was featured on the nationally distributed PBS television series START UP, becoming the first funeral home featured by the program and providing audiences with an inside look at entrepreneurship and modern funeral service.

Moore has also been featured in numerous regional and national media platforms and publications, including serving as a cover feature for Ascension Magazine. Her story and professional journey have been highlighted through platforms focused on entrepreneurship, leadership, women in business, and funeral service.

Moore is the host of Digging Deep with Christie K., a podcast distributed across major platforms including Apple Podcasts, Spotify, iHeartRadio, Amazon Music, Audible, Deezer, and other streaming services.

Through conversations about leadership, entrepreneurship, grief, faith, healing, purpose, relationships, and legacy, Moore uses the platform to explore the issues people often experience but do not always openly discuss.

Her educational work also extends into digital funeral service education, where she uses creative content to make conversations about death, grief, cremation, funeral planning, and preparation more accessible to the public.

A significant part of her work centers on preplanning and legacy education. Moore believes families should not have to wait until death occurs to begin discussing their wishes, finances, documents, funeral preferences, and legacy.
